P O R C L E A I N –
O U T E R S P A C E

Nathan Congleton, a photographer by trade, formed a band named Porcelain during the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking advantage of the time alone that the global crisis presented, the group spent months creating music. They invited friends to the studio to film 7 days of recording sessions on a hi8 camcorder.

My goal was to edit the footage in a way that put people into the studio with Porcelain; to convey the brotherhood that formed out of a global crisis, and to pay homage to a music studio’s ability to serve as both a safe haven and creative outlet during even the worst of times.
