BACK TO THE ROOTS

[From Official NYCFC Release] Justin Haak began with the Club’s first ever Academy side, the U-14s in 2015, and progressed through the entire pathway, ultimately helping win the Generation adidas Cup in 2017 and the USDA National Championship in 2018. In 2019, Haak signed his first professional contract with NYCFC becoming City's third-ever Homegrown Player to graduate from the Academy to the first team.

My task was to create a video from start to finish, to be used in the campaign announcing Justin Haak’s signing.

To pay homage to Haak becoming the first-ever player born and raised in the Five Boroughs to sign for the Club, we filmed most of the piece in his hometown of Bushwich, Brooklyn.
